The foam inserts are all they're stacked up to be.
It's Beginning
Hello again everyone!
Here we are, already 1 month in. That absolutely flew by. All the orders for all the parts have been placed, and a few have actually started to arrive!
The beginning of production is a lot of phone calls, emails and behind the scenes stuff. So not much physical progress to be shared yet!
The Good
A few things are arriving already! The box stickers, rulebooks, sigil reference guides, card dividers, foil packs, scale magnets and teeth magnets are here ready to go!
The unfortunate thing is most of these are waiting for other parts before we can do anything with them! I can't use the scale magnets without the wood for the scales, or the foil packs without the cards to go inside!
The foam inserts arrived today too, and wow they take up a lot of space! Just looking at this giant pile of boxes makes me appreciate the scale of this project. Maybe my new warehouse isn't even big enough!
About 1/3rd of the rest of the parts are in transit, and another 1/3rd are still being made. The third 1/3rd are here or we make ourselves.
I've been doing a lot of behind the scenes work. Just getting all my ducks in row while I wait.
I'm making detailed guides for every step involved in production. So when anyone else comes to help out it's easy to teach!
The "Bad"
My Aussie wood supplier for the scales gave me a 20 day ETA, but we're currently at 30 days and I haven't heard back. We've got some public holidays at the moment in Australia so I'll keep chasing them up when I can.
My printing partner is also waiting on the cardstock we use to arrive. I just got an update today pushing it back another 15 business days. This shouldn't impact our timeline yet, but if it keeps pushing back it will start to get pretty close!
The Ugly
We put little stickers on every card box, as a way of getting a different texture / surface finish over the Inscryption text.
Our sticker supplier accidentally made these transparent and weird. Thankfully they're remaking the order for us ASAP.
But now I've got tons of transparent stickers which I have no use for! Any ideas what I could use these stickers for?
