Cancellation policy

At a glance:

  • Pre-orders take 4-6 months before they ship.
  • You can cancel at any time before your order is shipped.
  • If you did a split payment, your card will be saved and automatically charged on a later date.
  • Individual parts of the final product may vary from the product photos, but it's always an improvement in quality and will always be communicated to you.
  • Change of mind returns are not accepted.
  • Any manufacturing defects or shipping issues will be fixed.

  • We operate in AUD. You will be refunded in AUD. Currency conversions can fluctuate on a daily basis, and the amount you paid may be different to the amount refunded.
  • Duties and Taxes may apply depending on your country.

 

Some items in our store may be offered to you as a pre-order. This cancellation policy lays out how you can change or cancel these kinds of purchases.

Pre-orders

When you purchase a pre-order, you are buying a product that is not yet made. We do not carry ready-made stock of the full box set, as each game is made to order within batches.

We may collect no payment or a partial deposit at checkout, store your payment method, then fulfil and charge the full or remaining payment at a future date.

We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel your order for any reason, you may do so at any point before your game has been shipped. We offer a full refund of the purchase price under these conditions.

What are the payment options?

1) Pay in Full (5% Discount & Earlier Fulfilment)

  • Pay 100% up front and get 5% off the original listed price
  • Your order is placed at the front of the fulfilment queue
  • Estimated delivery is 4 - 6 months, but you will receive your game before split payment orders.

2) Split Payment (50/50 Plan)

  • Pay 50% now and 50% before delivery (or in 120 days).
  • Remaining payment will be automatically charged to your card.
  • Your order is placed in the standard fulfilment queue
  • Estimated delivery is 5 - 6 months, but fulfilment follows the order queue

Batch Production Method

We craft our board games in our Australian workshop in limited batches. Once a batch's order window closes, we commence the production of all orders within that batch. Only after fulfilling all orders in the current batch do we open the order window for the next batch. This method ensures dedicated attention to quality and detail for each game.

Estimated Delivery Timeline

Due to our batch production model, we estimate a delivery timeframe of approximately 5-6 months from the close of the order window. While we try to keep our products local, many of our suppliers are international and production and shipping can be a lengthy process. Especially when operating at a small scale.

Duties & Import Taxes are not included. And may be charged depending on your country. 

USA Tariff Update: We are currently collecting the new 10% tariffs at checkout. These should appear under the category "Duties / Tariffs"

Made-to-Order Crafting & Variations

When you place a pre-order, your game is queued for production in the next batch. This process involves careful selection of materials, suppliers and meticulous handcrafting. Note that our games are made to order but not customisable. Each batch may exhibit slight variations. These variations can occur due to changes in our suppliers, methods, or materials over time. Any changes we make in the production process are aimed solely at improving the quality of our games. We are dedicated to continuous improvement and ensuring that each game you receive is of the highest standard.

Communication of Changes: Should there be any notable changes in the production of a specific batch, we will communicate these through our production updates mailing list. You can sign up to this at checkout or at the bottom of our website.

Acceptance of Variations: By placing an order with CrypticCrafter, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of such variations. We assure you that these changes will not compromise the quality or the overall experience of the game but are part of our commitment to delivering the best product possible.

Some examples of prior variations from Batch 1 include the addition of a customised metal coin to determine turn order and the swap from hand cut foam inserts to professionally CNC milled foam inserts.
In Batch 2 we changed the folder to PU Leather, and the tooth to metal among many other small changes.

Quality Guarantee and Issue Resolution

Should your game have any manufacturing defects or quality issues attributable to our crafting process, please contact us for assistance. We are committed to resolving such issues promptly.

Refund Amount and Fees

While we provide a full refund of the purchase price, please be aware that any transaction fees or international currency conversion fees incurred during the ordering process are typically non-refundable. These fees, charged by banks or financial institutions due to exchange rate fluctuations, fall outside our control and may not be reimbursed as part of your refund. Our store operates in Australian Dollars (AUD$)
