Batch 4 - Production Update #3 - April

It's Progressing

Hey Hi Hello!

Two and a bit months into production and things are ticking along.
Almost every part has been shipped or has arrived. So we're about to hit the major putting parts together period.

The Good

Between Batch 3 and 4 we moved our warehouse to a new place, that is twice the size of the old one! And so far it's been amazing to have the extra space.

We're not constantly squeezing around extra bits and pieces laying around, and everything is stored in one place, instead of in excess overflow storage that I was driving back and forth between every day.

That being said, Batch 4 was our biggest batch yet. After estimating the size of all the components, I realised that I'll need even more space!

Luckily I was able to expand into a neighboring warehouse unit and remove some walls. So we've got an extra 25% of workshop added!

The Bad

The German card stock finally arrived at my printing partner!
However, they've been having issues with it sliding around in their card cutter.

The issue seems to be resolved, but they're currently running at a much slower speed and are not able to give me any confident timeline for completion.

The good news is that the cards are actively being produced, and they will ship these to me in small batches at a time.
I don't think this will impact our schedule, as we still have a many steps to go before we can start shipping our orders.

And when we do ship the final products, we ship in small batches at a time too. So I'm hoping the incoming cards will be quicker than our outgoing shipments. I'll keep you all updated on this.

The Ugly

We had a few boxes of Rulebooks with printing issues. They're quick to arrive, so the quantity is not an issue.

The issue is, what do I do with all these extra rulebooks?
They're functionally perfect, they just have a purple tint on some of the images.

It feels like a total waste to just throw them out. Do you have any ideas of what I can do with these excess badly printed rulebooks?

Would you be interested in a super cheap add-on rulebook, so both players can have their own copy? One perfect and one with some printing errors just as an extra backup.

That's all folks! The list of tasks to-do is growing longer and longer.
A super rough "don't quote me" time estimate would be at least 8 weeks before we start shipping the first orders.

The shipping orders part of production takes a long time, as it involves the final assembly and quality check of all the parts into each wood box. Packing for shipping, printing labels, etc. And there's only so many we can do per day.
From shipping the first order (in 8 weeks from now), to completing the entire batch will be at least another 6-8 weeks on top. So I appreciate your patience when we get to that period!
